  • American Heart Assoc. Fundraiser News

We are happy to announce that we have concluded another successful American Heart Association fundraiser! With the help of students through our February Candy Grams and Jump Rope for Heart donations, Hampstead Academy has raised nearly $1,500! Thank you! A very special thank to our "Top Dog" donation collectors, who raised the most money. Alexis (grade 5), Kathryn (grade 4), and Malerie (grade 3) went the extra mile and collected the most donations for this great cause. We are very appreciative of ALL students who were able to raise money for the American Heart Association. Top donating classes, grades 5, 4, and 3, respectively, are awarded a special "recess package" of Jump Rope/Hoops for Heart recess equipment. Well done students! We are very proud of you for going above and beyond for such a great cause. Drew Steadman & Pete Demeritt

  • Collecting Shoes

Bring in Shoes for HA's Shoe collecting program! For the month of April and starting tomorrow (Monday, April 4), you can bring in shoes for the Planet Aid program here at school. All you have to do is bring in your old sneakers, or any other closed toe shoe, and drop it in the box near the recycle bins/carpool door. “Planet Aid will send your shoes overseas and they usually end up in developing countries where they can be resold on a micro level. This exchange creates jobs and provides a source of affordable clothing for those who don’t have much to spend.” http://www.planetaid.org/what-we-do/for-the-environment/what-happens-to-your-used-clothing So rather than throwing your shoes into a landfill, donate them, and know that you have really made a difference in someone's life. The Francomano Family
