“ I love Hampstead Academy because they have superb teachers. The teachers teach us good stuff like respect and discipline and the most important thing they say is to treat others the way you want to be treated. ”

- Vikram Bharati, Student – Grade 2

Hampstead Academy Admissions Procedure

Step 1: Review Our Website

The Hampstead Academy Admissions committee seeks bright and talented students with varied interests and experiences. We endeavor to attract motivated and conscientious students who are eager to make positive contributions in and out of the classroom. Acceptance is based on available space, school records and evaluations, giving priority placement to siblings. Students applying after February 15th will be scheduled to visit based on available openings. If you think Hampstead Academy might be an appropriate fit for your children, please follow the admissions procedure below:

Step 2: Schedule a Tour

After carefully reviewing the information provided on the website, please call the Admissions office at 603-329-4406 to schedule an appointment to visit the school. Parents are advised to plan a visit without their children since the tour will last about two hours.

Step 3: Submit Application and Fee

After the tour is complete, fill out the application and mail it in along with a $50 non-refundable application fee to:

Hampstead Academy
Attn: Admissions
320 East Road
Hampstead, NH 03841

Once the application form and fee are received, the student is placed under consideration in our wait pool.

Nursery and Kindergarten Applicants Notification of Acceptance

After the application form and fee are received, parents of nursery and kindergarten applicants will be notified of their child’s admission status during the week after January 15.

Grades 1-8 Continue with Application Process:
Step 4: Submit Transcripts and Evaluation Forms

After the application form and fee are received, a letter is sent to the parent requesting a copy of student transcripts. Two confidential evaluation forms are also to be completed by the child's present teacher. The forms must be completed and returned to the Admissions Office by the specified date.

Step 5: Student Visits

Once all records are received and an opening becomes available, perspective students are invited to visit the school as a guest student. Students applying for grades 1-3 spend the morning, while other students spend the day. During this visit, the teacher(s) will administer a formal test to assess student abilities in reading and math. They will also take note of their overall social/emotional development as the student interacts with peers and teachers.

Step 6: Grades 1 - 8 Applicants Notification of Acceptance

Acceptance letters for incoming students are mailed on February 15th.

Step 7: Enrollment

After receiving notification of acceptance, if you would like to enroll your child, fill out our enrollment form by March 15th and submit it with a non-refundable tuition deposit, which will then be deducted from the total tuition balance.
